Boca Raton, FL, July 8, 2015 – Reliable Jet Maintenance, LLC, a FAA 145 Repair Station, is pleased to announce the addition of the Beechcraft 1900 and the Israel Aircraft Industries-manufactured Astra.

The Beechcraft division under Raytheon Company, now Textron Aviation, introduced the Beechcraft 1900 in 1984 and continued production until 2002. During the 18 years of production, 695 aircraft were built, including two variants. The BE 1900 was used primarily as a regional airliner, seating up to 19 passengers. The aircraft was also a popular choice for cargo transport. It’s rated for single pilot operation for corporate and cargo use, however, two crew members are required for airline transport.

Israel Aircraft Industries began improving the Westwind 1124 in the late 1970s, namely, the Astra 1125 resulted. The medium range, midsize business jet carries up to 9 passengers and requires two pilots for operation. Israel Aircraft Industries produced roughly 140 Astras before Gulfstream Aerospace acquired Galaxy Aviation in 2002. Gulfstream continued production of the Astra SPX design until 2005 to allow for production of the G150.

The addition of the BE 1900 and the Astra to Reliable Jet’s Ops Specs complements their core business of Gulfstream, Challenger, Learjet, Citation, Falcon and Hawker. This additional rating to Reliable Jet’s full service FAA Repair Station expands their capabilities to 35 different aircraft models. To view the complete Ops Specs, please visit FAA Ops Specs.
